Australian Aborigines in Brazil 50,000 years ago?
French and Brazilian archaeologists have been excavating a remote site in the North East of Brazil. In the Serra Da Capivara (highlands of the capybara) National Park in the State of Piauí, ancient rock art has been discovered depicting humans hunting giant armadillos that died out at then of the last ice age. During excavation, evidence of human activity - animal bones and charcoal - were discovered at a layer dated to 50,000 years The oldest human remains were dated to 9,000 to 10,000 years old - the oldest human remains found in the Americas. Scientists where shocked by the results of their analysis.
