3D printed car
Yeah, I know this is old news, but it's still pretty cool and the implications are incredible.
Re: 3D printed car
The implications are staggering; this technology, once improved and more readily available, is going to change the face of manufacturing as we know it.

I have a friend who works at Autodesk and they have one there. For now it's a 'toy', but it's pretty damned cool.

Re: 3D printed car
The video was somewhat underwhelming in regards to showing the car's performance and I'd like to know a bit more about it - there are search engines for this, but my online time is very limited, what with work, wife, wains etc. - but it seemed to only have two gears - reverse and forwards.

Re: 3D printed car
I'm more interested in when we'll start to "grow" machines, but this is a nice start.
3D printed buildings REALLY interest me, and I'd like to start experimenting myself actually.
I reckon the main issue is the material used, most people want to use concrete which is pretty unsuited to the process.

This is from 2013 and I'm sure the technology is improving in leaps and bounds.
