Starting today 3 ole farts head out to the woods to cut and split fire wood...its a hoot. Average age is about 67 so a good day lasts about 4-6 hours. We split wood for 4 homes...one of our # decided to climb into a bottle after losing his wife a few years ago so we look after him as well. We work some...talk a lot...and might even have some refreshments toward the end of our day. Got to love the retirement life.

Nice! I like you Webster!

Firewood is not necessary here as the average daily temp in winter is about 77°F (25°c)

You reminded of one of my unreleased songs

Lost and found

Lost myself at the bottom of a bottle,
and I found I was feeling blue
Contemplating what life had on offer,
but I didn't know what I should do.
Should I take a step forward,
or take a step back?
Have I wandered off the path,
or am I on the right track?
Should I open up my heart
or keep it locked away?
Should I risk it all again,
or simply walk away?
Now that I've found you!

I lost myself far too often in the past,
and found I had made a mess.
Wondering if I was making a mistake,
I'm so confused I must confess.
Should I just forget about you,
and simply let you go?
Wish you were here next to me,
so you could let me know.
So I'll write my thoughts down,
just to get them straight,
until I hold you in my arms again,
I guess I’ll just have to wait.
Now that I've lost you!

Lost my head and went crazy on the weekend,
and I found I was missing you.
Contemplated what life had on offer,
but I finally knew what I should do.
I shouldn't take a step forward,
or take a step back.
I shouldn't go on the offensive,
or go on the attack.
I should take you in my arms,
and then just set you free.
I should cherish every minute,
and then celebrate my liberty,
now that I've found you.

It was a jazz, rock, blues number, with a predominant blues bass guitar and subtle horn section in the background.

Hi Webster, I've been picking up some free firewood around the neighborhood, but it's over a hundred every day so it sucks. Can't turn down the free stuff though.

Hey Mac. not quite 100 here but a good strong 90. We don't usually start this early...when the temps are a bit lower. But anywho it is what it is. Free Stuff is always good.

It is a lot better and easier with friends (company) when you do your grunt work.

Sounds alright.
